Kayak to the Open House at Seahorse Key!

National Wildlife Refuge Week Celebration and Cedar Key Seafood Festival - Open house at Seahorse Key Lighthouse! The lighthouse is normally closed except for special events. Take advantage of this opportunity to visit this 1854 structure. Also on the island, explore a Civil War cemetery, a pristine beach, and exhibits by the University of Florida Marine Lab, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Florida Lighthouse Association and more!

We will be doing a open water run out to Seahorse Key during this fall open house. This is a longer open water trip covering around six miles round trip, expect to take about five hours. Do remember to bring the necessary protective shoes that can get wet and muddy as well as a hat, sunglasses, and sun block. Bug spray may also be necessary on the island.
